Two men, Sule Kurti (49) and Omotunde Ismail (35), who beat and locked up two police inspectors who were in their house to arrest them, have been arraigned before a Badagry Magistrates’ Court.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the suspects were accused of assaulting and threatening the lives of the two police officers.
The suspects are standing trial on four counts of assault, a threat to life, breach of peace, and malicious damage.
The prosecutor, ASP Ikem Uko, told the court that the defendants committed the offense on May 7, at about 5 am in the Morogbo area of Lagos.
He said the defendants threatened the lives of Inspector Izevbekhai Imevbore and Inspector Ariyo Kayode, who were sent from Morogbo Division to arrest them.

ASP Uko further told the court: “The defendants hit one of the officers, Kayode, with an iron rod on his left hand and shoulder and inflicted internal injury on him.
“They also assaulted them by locking the police officers in their house and beating them while performing their constitutional duty.
“The defendants conducted themselves in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace by locking the iron gate against them.
“They also damaged one phone valued at N45,000, property of one of the police officers.”

A young lady has cried out on Facebook after she allegedly caught her husband in bed sleeping with his own mother.
According to the lady’s post sighted by occupygh.com, she walked in on her husband having in bed with his own mother. This development, needless to say, has left her totally devastated.
Her story on social media reads:
“I am completely traumatized right now. I can’t even think straight. Oh God!!!
My husband has given me the worst shock of my entire life and I feel like just passing out. I can’t handle this.
I’ll try to be short. My husband is 25 years old and I am 23. We’ve been married for about 2 years now.
I used to go to his home all the time and meet with his mother. My husband’s father is late so he has only his mother whom he is so close to.
I have always noticed that my husband and his mother are very fond of each other. Sometimes, when I visit him, I would see him lying down with his head on his mother’s lap. I used to joke about it and even call him “mummy’s boy” and he will just laugh out.
Now fast forward to two days ago. I paid my boyfriend a surprise visit and what I saw threw me off guard. I just could not believe what I was seeing.
When I came into the house, I walked straight to his room since that was where we normally met. It was there I saw my boyfriend náked on his bed and on top of his own mother. He was sleeping with her.
I screamed his name and almost fainted.
