I’m elated to join Accra Hearts of Oak – Samuel Inkoom
Samuel Inkoom, an ex-Kumasi Asante Kotoko right-back, has expressed his excitement after joining Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League.
After many weeks of training with Samuel Boadu’s side, the former Ghana defender signed a one-year deal with the Phobians.

On Sunday at the Baba Yara stadium, Samuel Inkoom made his Premier League debut against his former employers and league leaders Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
In a technical shuffle by coach Samuel Boadu, he came in in the 63rd minute to replace midfielder Gladson Awako.

“I’m elated to join Accra Hearts of Oak,” Inkoom tweeted after the game.
“The journey began last Sunday when I made my debut in Kumasi and it was a great feeling.

Head Coach of Karela United Bismark Kobby Mensah has advised his players to stay aware from alcohol and women among others this off-season.
In an send off address to the team, Kobby Mensah charged them to be discipline as they go back to have their break before the football season resumes.
“The season has ended and as you head home, this is a time of rest not indiscipline. Not a time for food, alcohol and women. Time of rest, especially to players who stay up late on Tik Tok + other social media platforms.’

Karela United finished the Ghana Premier League season as high as 4th on the table with 52 points.
The Ghana FA has announced September 9-12 as the kick-off date for the 2022-23 Ghana Premier League season.

The new season will start on a Friday September 9 with matches played across the various league centers.
Fixtures for the new season will be released on Tuesday July 26, 2022 to enable clubs prepare adequately for the season.

The Bureau of FIFA Council has given approval for qualified countries to proceed to the 2022 FIFA World Cup with 26 players.
This is contained in an official communique published on the website of the world football government.
The squad size of 26 will be an increase from the usual 23-man squad used by national teams at the mundial in the past editions.

73rd FIFA Congress
The 73rd FIFA Congress will be held in Kigali, Rwanda on 16 March 2023. The 2023 FIFA presidential election will take place at the 73rd FIFA Congress, the call for which was approved by the FIFA Council during its meeting on 30 March 2022.

Kigali already hosted a meeting of the FIFA Council in October 2018.
Amendments to the Regulations for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™

Given the need to retain additional flexibility due to the unique timing of the FIFA World Cup 2022™ in the global calendar, as well as the broader context of the disruptive effects caused by the COVID-19 pandemic on squads before and during tournaments, the Bureau has decided the following: • The maximum number of players on the release list has been increased from 35 to 55. • The number of players to be included on the final list has been increased to at least 23 and a maximum of 26. • The final matchday at club level for the 23 to 26 players nominated on the final list will be 13 November 2022. • No more than 26 people (up to 15 substitutes and 11 team officials – one of these officials must be the team doctor) will be allowed to sit on the team bench.

FIFA U-20 World Cup Indonesia 2023™

In December 2020, as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bureau decided to cancel the 2021 edition of the FIFA U-20 World Cup™ and appointed the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) to host the competition in 2023. Following discussions with the PSSI, as well as consultations with all confederations, the Bureau has confirmed that the tournament will be played from 20 May to 11 June 2023.
