Nota bene: Their FIRST league match was played at Sir Francis Jacksons Park in Kumasi on 24 August 1958, but the match was abandoned in 70 minutes because Gargo Moro, a Kotoko player sent off, refused to leave the pitch. In the 1st half, Hearts lead 3-0 and Kotoko used 10 minutes to score 3 goals, but Hearts made it 4-3.

Kwame Opare Addo, the Public Relations Officer [PRO] of Hearts of Oak says he’s confident his side will defend their MTN FA Cup title despite being underdogs.

Hearts of Oak who are the current Champions of the MTN FA Cup will take on Bechem United on June 26, 2022 at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Ahead of the game on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Opare Addo speaking in an interview admitted that Bechem United are on good form and will be touted by many to win the trophy.

According to him, his side will be underdogs ahead of the game but he is convinced his outfit will prove their critics wrong.

“It is obvious that Bechem United are on a good form and they finished in a better position compared to ours,” he said on Asempa FM.

“They had a good campaign and without a doubt, they have quality players. In the Premier League, they held us to a goalless game at the Accra Sports Stadium, and in Bechem, we played a 1-1 draw.

“But this is the FA and many have touted Bechem United to win the trophy because they are on good form. We are underdogs and we are fine with that but I believe the players will prove their critics wrong on Sunday.

“I am confident we defend our trophy on Sunday despite the underdog tag,” he added.

The much-anticipated game has been scheduled to kick off at 17:00GMT

Nsoatreman on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, defeated Tamale FC 2-1 after extra time to secure promotion to the Ghanaian top-flight league.

Kobina Amissah in an interview with Original FM opened up on their plans.

“I congratulate the entire technical team and playing body for fighting hard for Nsoatreman fc to qualify to the Ghana premier league

“We fight very hard yesterday to qualify the game was tough Tamale City FC was fantastic yesterday they played a good football but we were tactically good on the day,” Coach Kobina Amissah shared.

According to the club’s Technical Advisor, some top players will be signed to bolster the squad of the team before next season starts.

“We have spotted good matured talented footballers in the division one, and we will fight hard to get some of them to strengthen our team for the Ghana Premier League,” Coach Kobina Amissah added.

Ghanaian midfielder Kingsley Sarfo has joined APOEL Nicosia on a permanent deal from Olympiakos Nicosia according to reports.
