Despite losing their CAF Confederation Cup playoff fixture against ES Setif this afternoon, Asante Kotoko players are 500 percent bonus richer.
The Porcupines suffered a stunning 1-2 home loss at the hands of the Algerian giants in the first leg game played at the Accra Sports Stadium in the CAF Confederation cup playoff.
Prior to the game, the Board of Directors made an unspecified promise to the team for a win, but unfortunately, the visitors ran away with the win.
However, despite the loss, the players will receive the money on Monday morning.
“The board members went to their (players) individual rooms to tell them they have really done well,” Board member, Kojo Boateng Genfi tells Oyerepa FM.
“We had promised them GHc30,000 to win but even though they couldn’t win, tomorrow (Monday) we will give to them”
